Autumn at Kew - Christine Phillips
Christine studied graphic design at Hornsey College of Art, gaining a Diploma in Art & Design. She learnt to print-make at Lowick House, Ulverston, continuing the practice at the University of Hertfordshire and other workshops. Christine has explored a number of media, from etching to silkscreen but now concentrates mainly on reduction lino printing as demonstrated in the current exhibits.
Christine’s interest is in the colours, shape and pattern found in the natural environment. She works instinctively and is excited by the unpredicatbility of the outcome during the process of reduction. Christine has exhibited in a variety of exhibitions in Norfolk and Hertfordshire.
