Deirdre is an Irish born artist who studied Fine Art at the University of Hertfordshire as a mature student and works in Bendish Studios.
Her paintings are inspired by landscape and its folklore, mythology and history. She aims to develop a visual language that expresses on a two dimensional surface her relationship with her surroundings.
She is fascinated by the capacity of paint to express things which cannot be put into words. She is excited by both subtle and vibrant combinations of colour as well as texture. Deirdre has exhibited nationwide and her work is in public and private collections worldwide.
