Maureen is a practising artist with many years experience, having originally studied painting and printed textiles at Bournemouth College of Art before taking an Art Teacher’s Certificate at Hornsey College of Art.
Since retiring from teaching, she has been able to spend more time on her love of painting and drawing. She portrays the figure, still life and landscapes directly from the subject in a variety of media.
In the summer months, she particularly enjoys working in watercolour outside in the Hertfordshire landscape. She exhibits extensively throughout the county and has undertaken numerous commissions.
