Phil paints in wax. A technique that dates back to the ancient
Egyptians. He is a professional artist who uses special equipment to paint in coloured waxes – an iron, paint stripper and hot stylus. The waxes are very stable and do not melt again once sealed.
Phil is a member of Bucks Visual Images Group, Herts Visual Arts and Berkhamsted Art Society. He demonstrates, lectures and does encaustic wax workshops to art clubs and societies throughout Southern England.

Phil did a talk and demonstration at Earnley Concourse and is teaching wax painting at Missenden Abbey Summer school this year.
