Val is a self-taught artist of some 20+ years and enjoys painting as a leisure pastime. She is a member of Hitchin Art Club and Stevenage Art Society. She originally started using oils then turned to watercolour as an easier medium to use when attending club sessions. Recently she has tried acrylic paint for landscape subjects like “Sedburgh Scene” and a seascape “Sea Swell”. She enjoys attending workshops and painting holidays which have motivated different styles and techniques in her work.
