Profiles

Artists are invited to submit a short written profile, which will be displayed alongside your work.  Last year, many people, both visitors and artists, liked this innovation.
It should be written about you (in the “third person”) rather than autobiographically (in the “first person”).  It is strictly limited to 100 words.  If it is longer, we reserve the right to edit it accordingly.
You must not include forward advertising e.g. a website address.  We make it clear in the catalogue that if visitors wish to commission a work from you, we will take their details at the desk and give them to you.  Commissions have resulted from this procedure in the past.

We shall retype the profile in order to ensure uniformity of appearance.

Unless you notify us otherwise, we may use your profile on our website.  You may also submit a photo of one of the works you are exhibiting

Our exhibitors bring a wide variety of experience and background to the Show and the following examples may assist you in composing your profile:

  • Rosemary is a keen amateur watercolour artist, effectively self taught, who took up painting again after a twenty year break raising a family.
  • William studied at Canterbury College, London, gaining a Certificate in Fine Art and being awarded the “Landseer” scholarship.
  • Painting mostly in Hertfordshire, Jennifer’s interest in light in the landscape has also taken her to Italy and Egypt.
  • Bob has exhibited at a number of local Art Shows as well as the Mall Galleries, London where he sold widely.
  • Charlotte uses a variety of media, depending on her subject but her primary focus has always been acrylics as demonstrated in the current exhibits.

Your profile and photograph should be submitted to contact@kimptonartshow.co.uk or by post to Kimpton Art Show, The Old White House, 28 High Street, Kimpton, Herts. SG4 8RN
