Marian Tumelty VPRMS

Marian qualified as a teacher at Bath Academy of Art, Corsham, Wiltshire in 1965. She began painting professionally in the eighties, concentrating on botanical subjects and becoming a member of the Society of Botanical Artists in 1988. She now paints mostly miniatures and is a Vice President of the Royal Society of Miniature Painters, Sculptors and Gravers (RMS).
In addition to this, Marian enjoys attending a ceramics course at the University of Hertfordshire, where she specialises in creating coiled forms in crank clay, for which she was elected to membership of the Society of Women Artists. She exhibited with them at the Mall Galleries, London and her ceramic work can be seen at the Cecelia Colman Gallery, St.John’s Wood.
