Since 1981, the Art Show has taken place yearly in the beautiful surroundings of the Grade I listed parish church of St Peter and St Paul, adding to the appeal of the pretty village of Kimpton as a popular destination throughout the May Bank Holiday weekend. The dates in 2012 are Friday 4th May, through to Monday May 7th. Find out more to plan your visit.
Each year, the Kimpton Art Show brings together over 100 artists from across the region and locally; their works now hang in many parts of the world.
Exhibits have included much admired oils, watercolours and mixed media of modern impressionistic canvases, local themes and graceful still life. The Show offers an opportunity for new artists to test their talent as well as for those who already have a well-established reputation to make a very valued return. Last year, we were delighted to include a number of new artists who have exhibited with Herts Open Studios. We also welcomed artists in Other Media with their high quality displays of glassware, stained glass, clay, sculpture, framed photography and textiles. With works from £30 to £3,000, there is something for everyone’s budget.
