One of the major events of the Kimpton May Festival is in its 38th year

The Kimpton Art Show is an exhibition and sale of artwork which forms a major feature of the annual Kimpton May Festival.

In 2019 we will be holding the show for the 38th time in the beautiful surroundings of the Grade I Parish Church of St Peter and St Paul.

The show will take place from Friday 3rd May to Monday 6th May 2019. Find out more here to plan your visit.

Each year, the Kimpton Art Show brings together over 100 artists from across the region and locally with the Twin Aims: of selling art and raising money for local charities and good causes.

Exhibits typically include a range of media such as oil, watercolour, acrylic, photography and mixed media.  Work ranges from the traditional to the modern as we aim to show a broad range to appeal to as wide a buying public as possible.  The Show offers an opportunity for new artists to test their talent as well as for those who already have a well-established reputation to make a very valued return. Last year, we were delighted to include a number of new artists who have exhibited with Herts Open Studios. We also welcomed artists in Other Media with their high quality displays of glassware, stained glass, clay, sculpture, original ceramics, turned wood and textiles. With works from £20 there is something for everyone’s budget.

Payment may be made via Cheque, Cash, Credit and Debit Cards. All unframed items may be taken at time of purchase. We ask that any picture that is hung as part of the exhibition, remain in the church for viewing until Monday afternoon at 3pm when you may collect your purchase. Exceptional circumstances can be arranged.

Parking: Held over the May Bank Holiday weekend, parking in Kimpton requires consideration. Car parking is available at the Parkfield Sports Ground off the Hitchin Road and it is only a short walk to the church. Alternatively, some limited parking is available on Hitchin Road adjacent to the church and on Kimpton High Street. Please avoid driving into Church Lane as this is a cul-de-sac with limited turning space.
