Jenny is a long-time artist with deep roots in Kimpton. Since her 2000 Herts University degree in 2D design, she uses collage and acrylics to share her love for the countryside. Her work is defined by a vibrant use of colours and shapes, focusing on the simple joy found locally.
Jenny Fowler’s heart remains in the countryside, particularly the village of Kimpton where she lived for many years. Her artistic journey took a professional turn in 2000 when she graduated from the University of Hertfordshire, but her love for drawing and creating started long before then.
Jenny avoids overly complicated concepts, preferring to capture the honest beauty of the world around her. Using a mix of acrylics, cut paper, pastels, and printmaking, she builds tactile scenes that feel familiar and warm. A defining feature of her work is the bold and evident use of colour, which she uses to bring her observations of nature to life. While she is inspired by the styles of John Piper and Mark Hearld, her work is a personal reflection of the scenery and nature she has walked through for decades.
When she isn’t at her easel, Jenny is usually immersed in her other passions: cooking, music, and fashion history. Her art is an extension of her daily life—filled with colour, a love for people, and a deep appreciation for the English countryside. This collection is a celebration of the textures and memories found in the places she calls home.
