Mud and Flame Ceramics

Kathy hand builds in a variety of clays.  She smoke-fires smooth burnished organic forms with natural colourants.  She also slip-casts vessels in Parian porcelain; the precision of this activity is a counterpoint to the unpredictability of smoke firing.  She has recently been experimenting with wild clay dug in St Albans.
