Paul was born in Carlisle, Cumbria. Paul has always been drawn to the moods and atmospheres created by the elements on land and sea and the effect it has on land and sea and the effect it has on colours. He has had numerous exhibitions in the home counties

Paul  is a semi abstract painter inspired by atmospheres of coast and landscape, working in acrylic and oil. He has a fascination for the play of light on waters, on the land and in the skies.

He draws on his travels and stays on Islands and coastlines around the British Isles, and his upbringing in the English Lake District.
